ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Associate you will be responsible for delivering a great client experience that results in strong and lasting client relationships. To succeed in this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following: 
  • Complete year-end compilation engagements
  • Prepare corporate tax returns
  • Respond to client communication acting as a primary point of contact
  • Attend meetings with clients to observe and support managers
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations
  • Prepare management, investor and board reporting documents
  • Prepare and file federal and provincial sales tax returns
  • Prepare tax slips such as T1s, T4s, T5s, and other relevant slips as required
  • Provide coverage for colleagues as needed 
  • Contribute to innovation, which may include initiating process improvement, documenting new or updated procedures, developing standardized templates and collaborating with the larger team on such initiatives.

 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR*

  • You’ve started (or completed) your Canadian CPA designation
  • You have experience at a Canadian accounting firm with compliance and/or assurance engagements 
  • You’re skilled in learning new programs and systems
  • You have strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task competing priorities
  • You have a passion for excellent client services
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal

  • Benefits: Extended health benefits and an additional $2000/year Health Spending Account for any other needs. 
  • Tech stipend: of $150/month for at-home office/tech expense that falls outside of the equipment LiveCA provides to all employees.

Compensation
